Net als koningin Máxima heeft kroonprinses Mary een tv-interview gegeven ter gelegenheid van haar 50ste verjaardag. Hierbij een paar opvallende momenten, over de periode vanaf het moment dat ze 'de vriendin' van kroonprins Frederik was.

„My first preparation was to find out if I could see myself in 🇩🇰 & if it was Frederik & me. Preparation to meet them was just one step of the road. Not to downplay it, I was enough nervous.“
